A spiritual life is not an untriggered life. It is human to be triggered. A spiritual life is determined by what you do AFTER the trigger.
When you get triggered, what do you you? Do you go inward, and find the root of the trigger within - where the root of the trigger is *always* found - or do you look outward for someone/something to blame, judge, fight, reduce, squash. This first choice, in the first moment of awareness of triggered pain, is where the spiritual path is walked. Our true power, and the spiritual path, is found in that moment when we forego protecting our wounds, and courageously look at what is underneath the wound. And when we do this, very little needs to change on the outside...that was never where the problem was. (Of course, when something does need to be addressed, we do so from a clear, focused, neutral energy.) Our culture does not have responsible ways of managing our energy, of managing our pain. So it is up to us to find this path for ourselves. The Embodied Root Wholeness is one path to release the thorns and restore inner peace.
